Have you ever wished something for your favourite tv series and that came true?
Though the customary hour-long episodes of “Game of Thrones” are long for a TV series, we the viewers always yearn for more.
No question, “Game of Thrones” episodes already feel like mini-movies, with their amazing special effects, complex plots and stunning settings. The good news is “Game of Thrones” is going super-sized.
At Con of Thrones, a “Game of Thrones” fan convention in Nashville over the weekend, sound designer Paula Fairfield teased that the eighth season could feature movie-length episodes ranging close to 80 minutes long.

HBO had already revealed that the season 7 finale will be a whopping 81 minutes.
While previous seasons have all been 10 episodes, the seventh season will feature only seven episodes with the finale being a whopping 81 minutes long, while the eighth and final season will have just six episodes.
Season 7 of “Game of Thrones” premieres July 16, 2017.
