14. Thugs of Hindostan
Based on the “Confessions of a thug” by Philip Meadows Taylor, ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ is scheduled to release in the second half of 2018 and will be directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, the director most known for this film ‘Dhoom 3’. The film will star Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Shaikh among a talented supporting cast around them. We will surely be in for an action-packed film next year. The film is set to release on October 7.

13. Chanda Mama Door Ke
One of the most interesting storylines and collaborations of 2018 is the directorial venture by Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan who directed the critically acclaimed 2010 film ‘Lahore’. The film ‘Chanda Mama Door Ke’ is a science fiction space film that will star Sushant Singh Rajput, R.Madhavan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in lead roles. The film is rumoured to be inspired by the 1968 Hollywood hit ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’. The film traces the journey of India’s space program and culminates with India’s first astronaut landing on the moon. The film is set to release on January 26.
12. Fanney Khan
Bollywood comedy film that will release in 2018. It will be directed by Atul Manjrekar and produced by Rakesh Om Prakash Mehra. The film is the official remake of the Oscar-nominated Dutch film ‘Everybody’s famous’. It will star Aishwarya Rai, Anil Kapoor & Rajkummar Rao in lead roles. The film is set to release on August 3.
11. Sui Dhaaga: Made In India
It is an upcoming Hindi film under the Yash Raj Films banner. The film stars Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma in pivotal roles. The movie will be produced and directed by Sharat Katariya and Manish Sharma, the same collaboration that brought us the underrated ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’. The actor is getting paired for the first time and what the premise has to offer would be interesting to witness this year. The film is set to release on September 28.
Rani Mukerji is scheduled to make a comeback in 2018 with a movie titled ‘Hichki’ which will be directed by Siddharth P Malhotra and produced by Manish Sharma under the Yash Raj banner. Rani who is 38, married to Aditya Chopra was last seen in 2014 with the film ‘Mardani’ in which she played a cop.
According to the makers, the movie is an inspiring story about a woman who turns her biggest weakness into the strength. Seeing the actress back on screen would definitely storm Bollywood fans into theatres. The film is set to release on February 23.
9. Baaghi 2
Baaghi irrespective of its flaws was appreciated for its action sequences and eccentric premise. The film garnered praise to the extent that the creators will bring a sequel, making it a martial arts action franchise. The movie will be directed by Ahmed Khan and will star Tiger Shroff, Shraddha Kapoor & Disha Patani in lead roles. The first look of the film released by Shroff looked intriguing. 8. Gully boy
After the success of ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ and the obvious praise and collaborating with Ranveer Singh. Zoya Akhtar’s next directorial venture is titled ‘Gully Boy’ which is scheduled to be released in 2018.
The movie will star Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt together for the first time. The movie is said to be about the lives of street rappers from Mumbai stalls and ghettos and will definitely create a lot of anticipation among fans.
7. Dabangg 3
An action comedy that has done exponential business in the box offices with ‘Dabangg’ franchise. The film starring Salman Khan as Chulbul Pandey has become a raging success. The actor confirmed in an interview with DNA that during the shooting of his film ‘Bharat’ he will begin shooting for ‘Dabangg 3’, most probably which will be in early 2018. The film is rumoured to be a prequel to the original series and Arbaaz Khan will be producing the film. The director for the film has not been confirmed.
The first poster of Rambo starring Tiger Shroff, an official Indian remake of Sylvester Stallone’s hit action movie by the same name will release in 2018. Tiger Shroff plays the iconic action character in the forthcoming remake. The movie will be directed by Siddharth Anand, previously known for Bang-Bang. The monumental tasks to create the magic of the original will be extremely tough. The Indian Rambo will follow the last surviving members of an elite covert unit of the Indian Armed Forces, who returned home to discover a war waging in his own land. Hopefully, it turns out to be an action-packed and ruthless film.

The film will be based on the life of Rani Laxmi Bai of Jhansi and her role in the Indian rebellion of 1857. It will be directed by well-known Telugu cinema director Krish.
